We were delighted to welcome 5 new members to the meeting last week, when Carol Champion gave a very helpful talk to the 25 ladies present. Carol handed out a sheet entitled “The Hormone Friendly Diet” and also showed us a 5 page article on “Foods that fight cancer”. Due to the volume of paper involved, it is not practical to send these out to all members but we will keep one copy in the resource box which will be available for members to read at any of our meetings. These can also be photocopied for anyone interested. Please click here to view newsletter >

Talk on 6th May Mandy Janes (not Amanda James as I previously stated) gave a very helpful talk and demonstration of a lymphatic drainage massage. If you wish to make an appointment to see Mandy, please contact Karen first and she will arrange for your surgeon to sign a consent form to say that it is ok for you to receive treatment. Next Meeting The next meeting will be on Tuesday 1st July at 7.30pm at Bulstrode House. There won’t be a speaker at this meeting, but Karen has a video for us to watch which is called Fight Back and Get Fit and was developed by a patient. It includes an exercise component by Rosemary Connolly. Karen has the Good Practice Resource Pack for support groups and she will bring this along to the meeting. She has also been registered for training with CancerLink to be a local tutor. Please click here to view newsletter >

We were delighted to welcome 2 new members to our last meeting – a very warm welcome to you both. We had a great turnout at this meeting with 22 ladies attending. Gill Weeks’ husband Andy had very kindly put together some suggested images for our new logo and also a new leaflet which Gill brought to the meeting. Everyone present decided on the new logo as shown above. Some changes are being made to the leaflet and once printed I will give you each a copy. Please click here to view newsletter >
